ANTHONY GALATIS

Anthony Galatis is a London-based songwriter, music producer and mix engineer with several No.1 and Top 10 hits to his name. Born in South Africa, Anthony studied classical music at school and jazz piano at university before spending 2 years as the keyboard player for Just Jinger, South Africa's biggest selling rock band.

He now runs Uptown Studios in London's prestigious Matrix Complex, home to Modest! Management (One Direction), Crown Talent, (Ella Henderson) and Closer Management (George Ezra). He works across most genres and has written hits for a diverse range of artists from international DJs to West-End stars and a host of pop stars around the world. Anthony is co-founder of Anthem Lab, a top-line writing service for DJs, and is also a guest tutor at London's Associated Studios where he presents masterclasses on studio recording and songwriting.

Anthony uses Pro Tools HD as his DAW of choice and is a sought-after vocal recording specialist. He also recently won the Modern Mixing 'Oxygen' Mix Contest where 250 mix engineers from around the world were given the same song to mix. Read his interview in Modern Mixing here.
